What is your phobia?

I guess everyone know about the recent movie, PHOBIA 2. I had been thinking, everyone has their own phobia.

I'll start off with mine.

When I was small, I always go around to a Chinese shop to eat lunch. On my way back, there's a fish shop.
Sometimes, I'll go into the shop to look at the fishes and other animals.

One day, I saw the shopkeeper carrying a container. Out of curiosity, I went to see it. Dang ! The whole container is full of worms ! Those small, little creepy worms.

It's so gross. I felt like vomiting. Oh man, quickly I got out from that shop and went back. Damn, I was so scared that some of the worms escaped and got onto me.

From that time onwards, I have phobia towards these creatures.
Right now, I ll try avoid touching worms, milipede, centipede, snakes, leech and also slug.

I hope everyone that read this would spend some time sharing their bad experience that causes them to develop a phobia. Do post on the comments section. Thanks !

Don't eat porridge if you wanna live longer

Who loves white porridge?
Seriously, I don't know why those old timer loves to eat them. I find it very plain and extremely not suitable to my liking...

Why don't want to enjoy those nice rice but add water to it? Isn't that stupid?

For instance, eating white porridge suppose to be a healthy lifestyle.
No cholestrol, no fats, and bla bla bla.

But, do you think people eat white porridge only? The answer is 'No' !

They will eat the porridge with salty food such as ,

1) Salted egg
2) Salted fish
3) Salted vegetable
4) Tauchew ( not sure how to spell it )

Everything is salty ! Damn, every time I eat porridge, I felt that it is better to eat normal rice.

At least my sodium chloride intake wont be that high. When I eat porridge, I feel that I am eating too much salty stuff.

High sodium chloride intake = More heart problem

Therefore, for those who care bout their health, reduce on eating porridge. OR at least, just eat the plain white, tasteless porridge.

Just a short post. Hope you guys enjoy it

Hectic Holidays

It's school holiday already! Couldn't imagine the year 2009 is going to end soon.
I am in St David's High School for one year already.

First of all, sorry for not posting. I had been so busy this week.

I went for driving lesson on Monday.

On Tuesday, I woke up on 6 a.m. I was supposed to go for driving lesson. But it was raining heavily. So, I changed my plan.

I went to Sunway Pyramid instead. Haha... Unexpected and unplanned trip.

It's been so long since I visited Kuala Lumpur. There's vehicles everywhere! And it's so hot... Not to mention, there's a lot tolls. Go everywhere also need to pay.

Reached Sunway Pyramid at about 11 a.m.

Quickly went to a shop to buy a pouch for my naked camera. Lolz

Then, I went around window shopping at Digital Centre. My favourite spot lolz... There's computer stuffs everywhere!!!

I bought a large mousepad from a leng zhai. Haha... And it's really large. Larger than A4 size.

Of course, there's one place you can't miss when visiting Sunway Pyramid.

Yes!  It's the ice skating rink.

I never tried ice skating before. This time I'll pass. Maybe when I have more guts next time only I ll try ice skating.

It's noon and I am feeling hungry. Went to Shogun Restaurant for lunch buffet.

The cuisines are mouth-watering, scrumptious, delicious, sumptious and *what word somemore?* haha...

Seriously, I never went for a buffet before. This is my first one and I can tell that it's really worth for the price we paid.

There's Japanese, Thailand, Western, Eastern, Chinese and Arabian food. I think there's more than 100 types of food to choose.

I was taking photographs of the food when the waiter told me that camera is prohibited. But, who gives a damn. Haha.. I started snapping photos again after he left.

Here's some of the pictures. For the complete photo album, please visit my photography blog, CameraNoobie

I was so full after that lunch. Couldn't eat dinner anymore.
Then, I went around window shopping. At the same time, can 'cuci mata'. You sure know what I mean..

Bought a Body Glove's bag for me to bring to tuition

I gathered again with the group at about 5.30 p.m.
There was a exhibition by Perodua at the entrance of Sunway Pyramid.

They were promoting Perodua's new car, ALZA. I don't have interest in cars but I ll say it's a good looking 7-seater.

I was lucky to win 2 Genting Theme Park tickets from Perodua. Haha...

All I do was to act as if I am riding on Roller Coaster. Damn... Paiseh betul...

Went to The Mines after that before heading home. Nothing special to elaborate. Slept in the bus all the way.
That's all that happened these days.

Stay tuned for updates!!! Gosh, I am so tired...

Taman Negara Pahang { Day 3 }

Finally, it's the last day. Woke up as usual. Went for a morning stroll with Mr Lim... Lolz, he's a *shud i say camwhore?

I could feel the gentle morning breeze caressing my face. Really nice feeling...Of course it's better than the pollution in the city!

Everyone gathered for warming up. Seriously, the warming up sucks yet fun. Haha... We counted "1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8" in 3 different languages ; English , Malay and Mandarin. No one can speak Tamil lolz...

After that, we went for breakfast. Mihun goreng. Crap man... That's the food that I hate. Ate a little bit only. I don't like it.

Today's activities starts here. Don't need to search. There's not much photos taken during Rapid Shooting unless the person wants his/her camera to spoil.

I was asked to sit at the back of the boat. Holy shit, and I am in charged of scooping water out of the boat so that it wont sink !

That is really the worst task ever. I spent most of my time scooping water. Especially when the boats got near to each other, everyone would be splashing water.

In the end, everyone got wet. And me? Scoop water la. What to do...

Arrived all wet at Kampung Orang Asli. The path to the village is really challenging. Especially at the last part where there is a steep way up and the floor were so slippery.

Here's the situation of the village. We , as city people were so shocked to see their lifestyle.

Then, we watched a demostration of starting fire and also blowdart or better known as 'sumpit'

According to Orang Asli traditions, only a man that can use sumpit professionally can get married.

Guys, what you waiting for? Go learn how to use sumpit... Haha

Everyone was giving a chance to try using the sumpit. It's heavy and long as you can see in the photo.

The only thing I remembered there was the abang told Angeline ,

' Kalau tak boleh tiup , awak sedut. '

And the translation in English is,

' If you can't blow, suck it. '

Haha...stop right there. Don't think dirty !

Sandra and I bought a blowdart each. Lolz, next time we can use it during emergency.

On my way back to the boat, I fell. Crap man! I told Sandra to be careful at the slippery slope and yet I slipped.

Luckily Sandra was in front of me, or else I ll be rolling down.
Mr Koh laughed at me but he slipped too. Haha..Payback...

Reached hostel at about 11.30 a.m.We got one hour to pack our things. It's time to go home... 3 days passed in a twinkling of an eye.

Brought my luggage to the bus and then gathered at Liana Restaurant for our last meal at that place.
Everyone was so tired. Cut the story short lolz. I am tired of typing too...That's my lunch for that day.

The meal was really nice. Especially the pumpkin. Soon, it's time to leave that place.

Someone on a Chinese movie in the bus, but I was too tired to watch. Sandra and I slept... Don't know anything after that.

After some time, we woke up. Then the bus stopped at a place for the teachers to buy fish.

We stopped again at an unknown place. Bought some pisang goreng, karipap, lekor and other food from there. Had a little party in the bus. Haha

The second movie was Tsunami, a Korea film. Let me tell you the truth, don't buy pirated DVD. The subtitle sucks to the max! I slept all the time until the tsunami scene.

Nothing special until we reached Melaka and got home...
Oh ya! Wei Qi was on-air at 8 p.m. She work with My FM. ( if you get what I mean )

That's all for the 3-day-camp at Taman Negara Kuala Tahan, Pahang.
I sincerely hope that there will be another trip there. Looking forward to visitng that place again!

Taman Negara Pahang { Day 2 } Part 2

While everyone was busy getting fooled by the abang. I set my eyes on the crystal clear water.
Suddenly, I saw something moving.

It was a snake! A yellow snake. Quickly, I asked Vicky and Hui Shan to have a look. I also went to called Angeline but she thought I was joking..WTH =.=

Soon, we left Kelah Santuary and went in further along Sungai Terenggan. After a few minutes, we reached a 'mini beach'. That's what Sandra called those sandy places she saw. But that place is rocky!

We were asked to trek the jungle again! Arh, my legs were aching. The guide said that it's not a long way. About 200 metres only. But it seemed like it took us more than half an hour to reach there!

The place is known as Lata Berkoh. Basically, it's a spot where we get to take photos while enjoying looking at the huge rocks and strong water current.

We left the place after 15 minutes. The girls were moving so fast, leaving Vicky behind. So, Vicky tried to run to chase them. Really stupid. That place is so dangerous yet she can do that! One wrong step could end her life.

Soon, we reached a spot to play in the river. That was really the best place ever. We were feeling so hot. A dip in the crystal clear and cool water is so so so amazing!

We couldn't snap any photos during that time as none of our camera is water resistance. Not to mention that they don't wanna follow my camera's foot steps. However, Mr Lim managed to capture a video. I would upload it on Youtube tomorrow and embed it here.

Pei Ying lost her glasses in the water. Luckily one of the guys managed to find it. Or else, she would be blind through out the camp. Haha

Everyone was soaking wet after entering the river. We made our way back to our boat and go back to Liana Restaurant. We switched our position. Sandra was the last, followed by me, Vicky and Hui Shan.

That was the first time I saw Sandra so feminine. Haha! She looked so 'guai' because she can't splash water at anyone and at the same time, she was feeling cold. If only she is that feminine in school, sure a lot guys want her. Lolz...

That's our handsome and professional navigator

We were playing water along the journey back. Haha...
When we reached Liana Restaurant, we were all wet AGAIN!

After that, we went back to our respective hostel to get ready for dinner.

We were supposed to gather at Liana Restaurant for dinner at 8.15 p.m. They said there would be a BBQ part?

However, I left the hostel at 7.00 p.m. with Wai Huang. Both of us went to eat Tahan Burger! The stall is owned by Abang Kucing Liar. Haha... Maybe I was too hungry, the burger is so mouth-watering!

While we were enjoying the burger, Ming Xiang joined us. Then, I took a stroll with Ming Xiang around that area. Since it's still kinda early for dinner to start, we went to SFI group and sit with them.

A SFI teacher came. If I am not mistaken, her name is Puan Lo. She treated everyone of us an ice-cream. Not cheap le. All Nestle Drumstick. RM 3 each.

Ming Xiang and I syok syok only join them and go select the ice-cream. Haha

One of the students was telling ghost stories. Everyone gathered around him just to listen to his creepy stories.
As the time passed by, more and more people joined the group.

It seems like every school had their own 'ghost stories'. As he was telling the stories, I can feel those creepy cool breeze. Damn scary.

Soon, one of them said that it's time to go down to Liana Restaurant. As we were about to leave the 'pondok', we saw one black figure.

All of us screamed like mad and we ran down the stairs all the way to the restaurant !

Some how, there's no BBQ. There's only BBQ chicken. Lolz...
I became emo suddenly that night because of someone. You know, I know, God knows.

That's me! Emo-ing....

OH ya, I scared Angeline and Zhi Wei twice by appearing in front of them with a torch light in the dark. They thought they saw ghost! Haha...

After the dinner, Vicky, Sandra, Hui Shan and I went for a stroll. They snapped some photos. I was talking on the phone that time with one of my friend. Haha

Angeline and Zhi Wei came and joined us. Lolz ! I am still emo-ing... Singing those emo songs in front of them. Our initial plan is to lepak since the night is still young.

But don't know who said that they were tired and wanna rest. So they bought their burgers and went back to their own room. Leaving me alone again!

I got no choice but to go back to my room. Lee, Johnston and Wai Huang were not in the room. Everyone was in the second room.

I shifted to the other room to join the group. There were like about 8 or 9 people in a small room. We planned to tell ghost stories sleep together that night. However, after two ghost stories , we were too tired to continue.

So, 4 of us went back to our own room and end the day.

Finally, it's end of Day 2, one more day to go...

Stay tuned ya!

Taman Negara Pahang { Day 2 } Part 1

Alright, today I'll continue about the second day of our camp in Taman Negara.

I slept at about 11.30 p.m the night before. Never had a great sleep. The alarm clock rang at 6 p.m. sharp. Lee and Johnston were already awake.

Quickly, I got up from my bed and went to the bathroom. The Muslims were doing their prayers, so the bathrooms was not full.

After preparing myself for the day, I went back to my room, and took my handphone. Since it was still early, I spent some time with Wai Huang, snapping the morning scenery from the place I stayed.

Then, I went to Agoh Chalet ( place where my friends stay) to wait for them. As the sky began to become brighter, we went down to do some stretching.

Here's some pic we took before the warming up.

After warming-up, there's ice-breaking. I was grouped with Yee Xi and Ming Xiang. Our group name is Seladang. Lolz... And the teacher in-charge was an Indian Man.

Some called him Bapa Seladang while others named him as Seladang Hitam..Lolz

That's our Bapa Seladang in the photo. Together with him was a guy called 'Bad Boy' .

We had our breakfast at Liana Restaurang again. There's our meeting point during the camp. We had a scrumptious meal of 'Nasi Lemak' . Maybe I was too tired or is it really that delicious? Haha

Soon, the boat arrived to bring us to the opposite side. We started our journey from Mutiara Hotel before starting to climb Bukit Teresek.

Hui Shan and Zhi Wei was also part of my Seladang. The hiking was so difficult. Overcoming gravity was tiring.

At that time, I was still kinda sleepy. Oh ya, did I mentioned that they said we will get a gift if we reached the peak and did not finished half bottle of our water?

During climbing, Physics formula starts to play in my head. I calculated how much of gravitational potential energy will I possesed?

From the equation :

Ep = mgh

Lolz!!!

Let the picture do the speak for the climbing process.

That's our guide

Group photo in 'public toilet'

We continued climbing after that. Hui Shan was too tired to climb so I had to slow down for her. I was exhausted too. Imagine having a 10kg bag on your back while overcoming gravity.

During our first stop, I managed to snapped a photo of a PERHILITAN Officer. That's him !

Soon, we arrived at the first peak. All the time was worthy! The scenery was so beautiful. Suddenly, I don't feel tired anymore. Bad Boy was there too.

He got bitten but leech and his toe was bleeding profusely. Kesian bang...

While resting there, Group 4 arrived. Puan Ho was so tired and she seemed like she's gonna collapse.

That's Bad Boy asking me for tissue paper

We continue climbing to the second peak after a short rest. Hui Shan and Puan Ho did not follow us as they were too exhausted to continue climbing.

Everyone was so eager to collect their prize. Haha.
When we reached the second peak, I was shocked. There was nothing there also. Anyway, we could see Gunung Tahan from the second peak.

And we had some time taking pictures. Really worth the climb.

Then I asked Mr Koh where's our prize for making to the top. He said 'Root Bir' by A&W. I was like, huh? Root Bir at this kind of place? You must be kidding.

And yes! He's kidding. There's nothing at all. We went down the hill again to the first peak.

On our way down, the guide showed us a tree bark and as us to smell it. Fuyoh, it smells like Sarsi! No joke. Some of them even add the bark into their water to make their own Sarsi.

Haha...No wonder Mr Koh said that there's Root Bir.

Our team found a twisting parasite. All of us wanted to take a group photo toegether with the parasite. But in the end, the tree got covered by our asses. Haha

Soon, we reached the first peak again. Hui Shan was sitting next to the sleeping Puan Ho. Haha... Pandai enjoy life kat atas bukit ya?

Angeline, Sandra and I took some photos together. ^^ ( special thanks to Zhi Wei )

Ming Xiang and I ^^

I lepak at there until I noticed that Kumpulan Seladang had left. Lolz...
Hui Shan and I quickly rush to join the group. When we were leaving the first peak, I can heard some voices shouting ' Seladang tertinggal ! ' Lolz...

I fell down twice during this hike. The first one was quite okay for me. However, the second fall was serious.
I injured my ankle.

I never realised that my camera's LCD had spoilt until I saw Mr Koh taking photos of wild mushroom. I took out my camera but I couldn't use it.

Both of us rushed to join the rest of the group. I saw a squirrel. But I shouted , 'Monyet ! '

Lolz..really paiseh when the guide teased me.

We reached the Canopy Walk. Everyone was looking for 100 Plus there.
Lolz, RM 3.00 per can ! They said it's expensive because they had to carry the 100 Plus from downhill.

Since my camera already KO, I can't take much photos here. I can only snap photos using my handphone.

Mr Koh

I was bitten by a red ant while I'm on the Canopy Walk. Damn freaking painful. The ant is something like the one shown in Indiana Jones.

My finger immediately bleed after got bitten.

Anyway, I had to continue the walk. Soon, we reached a part that is made up of ladders. We had to descend while on the canopy walk. So scary ! We were at a height of about 60 meters from the ground !

Finally, I made it safely to the ground. Extremely thrilling ! Haha...
I still got time to disturb Vicky at the last part of the Canopy Walk by shaking the path.

We waited for others to come down before heading back to Liana Restaurant for lunch.

Had our lunch and then went back to hostel for awhile before gathering again.

We are going to Sungai Terenggan or 'Dark Water'.

Each boat can only bring 4 people. Sandra, Vicky, Hui Shan and I was in the same boat.

Dark Water is a river where the currents are very strong. Extreme caution is needed in navigating the boat.

We were so crazy ! Haha... All of us were wet when we reached Kelah Santuary, a place where we get to feed the fishes.

Nothing special at Kelah Santuary except for the 'trut trut' thing. Haha... That Malay girl really kesian. Got fooled by the abang !

That's all for now. This post is too long already. I will continue Part 2 later. Stay tuned for updates ya.
